The Vice President, Health IT Marketing is passionate and knowledgeable about the ever-changing health IT landscape. A successful Vice President will serve as a strategic partner to our health IT clients, cultivating deep and long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients alike. The Vice President will support business development efforts to secure new health IT clients through relationship development, referral network development, content marketing, social media, speaking engagements, writing and seminar opportunities, and other venues to promote the brand and identify potential clients. He/she will also partner with Client Relations leads to support organic growth with existing clients and help define the agency’s point of view and strategy on marketing communications for health IT companies.
Serve as strategic counselor and advisor to clients, maintaining and growing strong long-term client relationships.
Provide strategic counsel to clients, and work with Brand Engagement teams to produce high-quality strategic counsel, strategic plans, programming ideas, and messages for client engagements.
Provide counsel to colleagues as they help develop effective B2B marketing programs for clients, guiding them how to differentiate themselves in a saturated marketplace and how to reach complex decision-makers across health systems, health plans, and employers.
Develop innovative and unique marketing processes to be branded and used across the firm’s Brand Engagement capabilities, including Strategic Planning, Digital, Content, Creative, Issues/Crisis, and Public Relations.
Support Client Relations leads with challenges/opportunities to grow existing business in health IT.
Support new business process by aiding in development of proposals, big ideas for pitches, budgets, and integrated marketing programs for new health IT clients.
Recommend research programs to uncover perceptions and provide strategic insight, resulting in provocative messages that maximize the effectiveness of client campaigns.
Develop and retain relationships with the broader health IT industry community – including industry consultants, association leaders, legislative contacts, VC/PE firms, and other referral resources.
Contribute to thought leadership on the issues facing target clients and look for opportunities to increase the firm’s visibility in health IT sector.
Position the firm by speaking at industry events and creating a presence for the agency in key healthcare industry and advertising/marketing/digital/PR trade publications.
Oversee programs to connect ongoing client engagements, new client prospecting efforts, and organic client growth opportunities.
Contribute to the development of strategic frameworks, IP, tools, and methodologies.
Mentor and coach junior staff members.
Bachelor’s degree required
10 years’ or more experience in marketing, with experience in digital marketing and transformation strongly preferred
Proven expertise in health IT
Management consulting or business strategy experience in health care is strongly preferred
Agency experience required
