Position Summary

 As the Product Owner, the Senior Product Manager will be responsible for overall product planning and execution throughout the life cycle of cellular technology, Network-as-a-Service product offering. The individual in this role gathers, defines, and prioritizes product requirements and use cases. He or she defines product vision and works closely with Engineering, Sales, and cellular network partners to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Senior Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the products support the company’s overall strategy and goals.

Objectives

1. Market Research – identifies customer and competitor product trends by conducting market research supported by on site customer visits and industry trade association participation.  Identifies opportunities for product innovation and product enhancements. 2. Product Ownership – defines strategy of the product and manages the product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.  Drives the solution set for products across development teams (Engineering, Operations and Product Marketing).  Responsible to ensure Marketing deliverables of the PDP (Product Development Process) are implemented. 3. Network Services Partners –  is knowledgeable of partner’s relevant products and market positioning.  In cooperation with the Alliances Manager, maintains relations with network partners, and ensures partner vision, strategies and capabilities are aligned with strategic objectives for the Product Line. 4. Product Requirements – determines product specifications and prepares product documents including Product Marketing Specifications, Uses Cases, Project Business Plans and Product Road Maps.  5. Sales Enablement – communicates the value proposition of the product to the channel and develops sales tools that support the selling process.  Product presentations to customers and channel partners.  Serves as subject matter expert for proposals.

Requirements

Education:  Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Marketing, Applied Science, or Engineering.  MBA is a plus.

 Skills:  Positive attitude and learning ability. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written). Excellent management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross functional teams, and third parties. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Willing to travel 20%. Proficient with Microsoft Office and other business software. 

 

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience with cellular/IoT Product Management.  Water/Utility Industry experience is a plus.
