Global publicly traded Bio-Pharmaceutical company and leader in its specialty is continuing to expand and seeks a CIO to oversee all Enterprise Systems, Applications and Infrastructure.

Provide company wide direction in areas of policy, standards, business practices to ensure effective and consistent operations, and to safeguard information resources around the world.
Lead IT organizational structure and service deployment strategy considering in-house vs. third-party services and solutions ensuring optimal use of resources and maximizing efficiency and business process support.
Establish strategic relationships and external entities, including vendors, and partner organizations
Implement global IT policies ensuring maximum system efficiency and uptime, and compliance with all applicable US and international data requirements.
Direct and develop enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
B.A./ B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
15 years’ experience in Information Technology with progressive increases in responsibility to a position of senior leadership in information technology, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology space.
Leading a 20 - 25 person IT organization while positioning the team as a service provider to the business with the ability to motivate and empower staff.
Strong skills in IT Service Management and adoption of ITIL
Track record of developing and implementing strategic IT objectives and technology plans to support corporate vision and growth.
Management of the IT Budget, ROI and corporate financial performance for global information systems.
Understanding of regulations and compliance requirements in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology space preferred.
Ability to travel as necessary both in the United States and Europe.
