Project Manager – Agile
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Serves as primary point of contact for the Divisional Stakeholders to understand the business requirements, developing effective working relationships and on-going management processes for the delivery of the portfolio.
  • Partners with companywide business owners and Information Services team members to develop and maintain product development, system integration and organizational readiness projects.
  • Partner with business owners to create and maintain backlog requests and enhancements into Information Services.
  • Coordinate with divisional business owners and Information Services resources to develop and maintain production release plan, including committed versus desired.
  • Identifies and creates clarity on the top priorities, making them visible to all Information Services and business divisions.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and prioritize requests for effective portfolio management including definition of project scope.      
  • Clearly identifies and escalates blockers that will impact project delivery. Ensures blockers have owners and target resolution dates.
  • Facilitate appropriate communication methods and tracking tools to ensure identification and management of portfolio requests. Project Request prioritizations are published and communicated on a monthly basis.
  • Work with Information Services to identify appropriate resources for definition and validation requirements / specifications within project scope.
  • Reviews and analyzes information, forecasts, methods, schedules, systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Analyzes requirements and procedures to automate and improve existing business systems.
  • Responsible for overseeing and consolidating Portfolio reporting to stakeholders, maintains and evangelizes the portfolio process across the organization on a regular basis.
  • Ensures the portfolio customers feel valued, complete Quarterly 1/1 meetings with key stakeholders across each area, partner with the divisions on to foster a culture of shared success.
  • Contribute to, support, and promote identification of best practices, and use of all portfolio and project management tools, techniques, and methodologies within the Information Services team.
  • Superior project planning skills with the ability to handle large workload, facilitate the activities of dynamic workgroups.
  • Able to look at the big picture, speculate and conceptualize outcomes and identify trends.
  • Work closely with other members of the Information Services Leadership Team to deliver departmental KPI’s and ensure the business benefits and return on investment are realized.
Requirements:      
  • 7+ years of experience in Project Management focused on interacting with a variety of cross-functional teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in successfully leading and managing large sized application deployments, process improvement projects with average complexity.
  • Working knowledge of project management lifecycle and techniques.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical reasoning skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project.
  • Must have an understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Comfortable with change – know how and when to be effective, successful change agents.
  • Proven leadership with effective negotiation, interpersonal and partnering skills.
  • Strong written, verbal and listening communication skills.
  • High degree of organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Team oriented for collaboration.
  • Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Strong, effective decision-making skills.
  • Ability to determine the right resources needed to effectively perform job assignments.          
  • Knowledge of Portfolio Management.
  • Experience with Kanban / agile / scrum methodologies.
  • Business analysis methodologies and experience.
  • Software development lifecycle, application deployment and information systems planning experience.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint, JIRA, Collaboration & Project Management Tools.
  • Has successfully managed virtual teams.
 
  • Education/Certification/License:          
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or combination of education and experience in a business discipline (HR, Finance, Computer Science, MIS, and Project Management). Master’s degree preferred.
  • Project Management Certification required (PMP)
  • Additional certifications preferred, Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
