RM Schulte and Associates, one of the automotive industries’ leading search firms has been selected to lead a search in the Lima, OH area for an IT Specialist.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and oversee project assignments with appropriate staff and/or vendors; participates in the research and evaluation of computer, network, intranet/internet and telecommunications technologies
  • Application Software Support and Development
  • Assist staff in the support, analysis and design of application software which assists in solving customer identified problems; test the computer application software, ensure the output is appropriate; support, supervise, and assist in planning, analysis, design, testing, and implementation of customized computer programs
  • Assist unit/department staff in the use of Computer Assisted Software Engineering software; develop project work plans, timelines, and deliverables for each phase of a project plan; develop systems to oversee and enforce system integrity, security, application and standards; develop and enforce system, application, and customer documentation
  • Coordinate with staff regarding installation of the application, production implementation, and assist in solving of any problems related to the output from the application
  • Participate in designing and evaluating local or remote network systems; direct staff in overseeing the operation of the network(s); participate in the testing and evaluation of network software packages; assist in installing and maintaining both software packages and operating systems; ensure network security and monitors access; review network traffic and utilization data modifying systems as necessary; perform research and evaluate new technologies in the network area; consult with computer vendors to assist in solving network problems
  • Evaluate new hardware or software
  • Support and assist in the operation of various computer production systems; meet with unit/department staff to analyze and determine printed and magnetic production output requirements; develop and implement operation procedures which meet or exceed standards; responsible for maintaining a computer operations billing system and assists in solving billing concerns
  • Meet with unit/department staff and serve as liaison to plan, and analyze, hardware and software that provides service and support for the telecommunications systems
  • Coordinate with staff and vendors regarding the installation and modification to the telecommunications systems; monitor security and access to various features of the telecommunications systems; monitor and assist in the telephone billing process; research and evaluate new technologies in telecommunications area; consult with vendors as needed to assist in solving telecommunications problems; maintain supply inventory and records of telecommunications equipment
  • Minimum of Associate’s Degree in Information Technology
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a professional and respectful manner within the department and with internal customers
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Effective project / time management skills
