We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated Sales Manager to build, grow and manage our Business Development Team. This person will play a both a strategic and tactical role in our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. The Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the BDR team. The team is responsible for customer lead generation through multiple channels including cold calling, email drip campaigns, inbound lead follow up and referrals. This position will require a sales leader with highly effective written and verbal communication skills as well a creative mindset and an uncanny ability to overcome initial sales obstacles.  The incumbent will be rewarded with a bonus opportunity based on the obtainment quarterly lead generation goals, as well as additional incentives for qualified leads that become One Source clients. 

  • Manage and oversee the generation of new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls and email drip campaigns as well as responding to inbound lead generation via  Web site or other external marketing campaign.
  • Hire, train, and develop a team of 5-10 Business Development Representatives (BDRs) capable of achieving both activity KPIs and sales goals consistently on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Ability to build BDR team from the ground up to 5-10 BDRs within 6-9 months
  • Ensure that BDRs properly document all contact with potential clients in Sales CRM or tracking software.
  • Responsible for strategic planning as well as overseeing the execution of lead generation plan that will result in each BDR successfully setting at least 15 qualified appointments per month.
  • Manage the procurement and distribution of various business directories and database to identify quality potential candidates based on business vertical and business size as well as identifying the key decision makers within the organizations.
  • Ensure qualified leads are routed to the appropriate Field Sales Account Executive for further development and closure.
  • Develop and maintain the teams understanding of all  products with the ability to understand how the product sets will meet specific potential customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain a general technical understanding of telecommunications and IT services.
  • Monitor random communication by the team to for quality assurance.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs for the team.

  • Must reside in or be able to commute/relocate to and work from our Corporate Offices located in Greenville, NC or possibly a new office in Raleigh-Durham, NC area
  • Proven experience managing a team of BDRs, preferably working in an office setting
  • Track record enabling sales team to exceed quotas and metrics in a competitive environment
  • Strong phone presence and ability to lead team capable of high call volume while maintaining high quality leads and appointments for field sales team
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM to effectively manage lead generation, sales pipelines, and revenue forecasting
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong presentation skills required
  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
