Seeking a talented senior-level IT leader for a privately held niche services provider. The company has grown to become an industry-leading presence through organic growth and acquisition and operates in various industries through three primary business segments.
Reporting to the CEO, the IT Director is the company’s information and technology leader, responsible for developing business support solutions and processes to address current and future business needs. This person serves as a strategic business partner to the executive team while overseeing all IT related activities to ensure the efficient, secure, and flexible operation of the company’s IT systems.
This includes management of expense budgets for all IT related operations; directing and developing the department to meet internal and external customer needs and regulatory requirements; support and maintenance of existing applications; the development of new IT solutions and strategic IT planning; effectively prioritizing and managing projects to ensure reliability and on-time delivery; and providing input into the development of the organization’s vision, policies, and short/long-term objectives.
The IT Director is responsible for two office locations in IL and PA, supporting a total of 65-70 onsite and remote users, in a Windows environment with VOIP and Mitel phone systems. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on IT leader and an avid learner who proactively seeks out continuous improvement opportunities.
The company is growth oriented and considering future acquisition opportunities to continue its market expansion. It is critical that this person can plan for potential systems integrations and support the M&A team with acquisition target analysis from an IT standpoint. In addition, the selected candidate will manage and replace existing systems as needed to ensure scalability.

4-year degree in computer science or related field required. Advanced degree in computer science or MBA preferred.
Previous top-level IT management, including 5+ years of successful experience as a senior-level technology leader required. Experience within a services company strongly preferred.
Proven operational and strategic thinking skills and leadership ability.
Record of success in designing/developing IT systems and planning/executing related implementations in a Windows environment including: file and email servers, cloud-based applications and storage; physical and cloud back-up solutions; phone systems, video conferencing, and VOIP; CRM (Cluen Encore a plus), accounting software(Sage Business Works a plus), and data analysis systems; MS Office 365 subscription management and MS Audit to ensure EULA compliance.
Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with clear understanding of financial and IT data and system integrity on business performance.
Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, including formulating recommendations and developing presentations.
Demonstrated development of technology that supports a culture of growth and innovation.
Reputation for service-based leadership, customer service, mentoring and training.
