Seeking a talented IT Director for a large division of an industry leading manufacturing company. This person will have ownership of all IT functions for two locations, covering approximately 150 users in a Windows environment with VOIP, HRIS, ERP, and payroll systems.
Provide consistent, high-quality IT services; training and support; and maintenance of all computer systems.
Manage capital expense budgets for all IT related operations.
Analyze complex business needs and recommend technical solutions.
Develop, mentor and train a team of five direct reports to maximize department capabilities.
Track IT department productivity, output quality, and cost of service, and develop methods to continually improve results.
Effectively prioritize all IT-related projects. Manage milestones and targets, and allocate resources accordingly, to ensure end product reliability, usability, and on-time delivery.
Ensure the consistency and sustainability of existing applications by employing implementation standards and procedures for solutions.
Oversee the selection and procurement, and installation and maintenance of all departmental hardware, software, and related products/supplies.
Maintain systems operability and provide ongoing computer and IT related support. Serve as liaison between hardware and software suppliers and company management for informational updates and problem resolution.
Create, maintain, and enforce written IT policies and procedures for the organization.
Continuously evaluate new technologies and processes, recommend appropriate changes/upgrades, and oversee installation/roll-out.
Maintain security of all proprietary data, complete backups of all systems, and contingency/recovery plans in case of system failure or disaster.
Develop and maintain implementation standards and procedures for technical solutions to ensure consistency of existing applications and user experience.
4-year degree in Computer Science or related field required. Advanced degree/certifications preferred.
8-10 years’ experience in IT field, including management/supervisory responsibilities required.
In-depth knowledge of and experience with network and server architecture, hardware, software, and related technologies including: client, file, and remote servers; telecommunications: cellular, VOIP, fax servers; and other systems.
Experience implementing or maintaining MRP/ERP systems. Syteline or similar ERP system experience a plus.
Advanced MS Office experience and familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems.
Knowledge of current trends, technologies and products used in the industry.
