The Application Support team supports business applications used by various business teams.  Support Analysts will be the primary point of contact for all application issues and will triage problems, document and research findings and coordinates fixes with the Development team (or Vendor). Candidates will work to troubleshoot and diagnose application errors to determine root cause. Analytical skills are a must, combined with strong multi-tasking and time management.  Due to the sensitive nature of the healthcare application suite(s) it is recommended/required that candidates have industry knowledge.
  • Responsible for the on-going operations, support and maintenance of production applications
  • Responsible for understanding and supporting the integration points between applications and to provide support of those applications
  • Work closely with technology teams and business units to maintain status updates regarding any system or functionality issues.
  • Work with business representatives, IT Developers, Vendors and management to ensure supported applications are working as needed
  • Troubleshoot and support batch jobs, loading and extracting of data to and from systems and vendors, working with the EDI team
  • Supports QA and Business Integration teams with batch jobs and file loads in non-production environments
 
Required Experience
  • 5+ years of experience supporting applications and software systems
  • SW support should include multi-tiered client server applications and web-based applications including services and objects (McKesson or Trizetto products a plus)
  • Experience with EDI and data translation tools required         
  • 4+ years of experience supporting applications using relational databases such as SQL required and other relational databases a plus
  • Healthcare experience including knowledge and experience of HIPAA X12 transactions
